HISTORY OF PULSE O2DA

The Pulse co-founders originally met in 2001 over a shared appreciation for John Boyd and William Lind. At that time, Ron Danielowski was working in the private sector for a federal agency which specialized in anti-terrorism tactics utilized to protect national resources. The attacks of 9/11 compelled him to re-enter the defense business as a private security contractor. Over the next several years the principals conducted an on-going conversation regarding the application of John Boyd's "OODA" loop to business and military operations. The result of these conversations led to the development of a business concept for a firearms training group that was originally presented to a major security contractor. Initially called "O2DA Training" (in tribute to John Boyd), the concept was to provide firearms training to private citizens. While there are many firearms training options available today, the distinguishing feature of O2DA was it's application of maneuver warfare theory to reality-based firearms training. The development of the business concept and methodology was refined and continued while Ron worked in both Afghanistan and Iraq. The summer of 2010 saw the finalization of what is now called Pulse O2DA and was formally launched October 15, 2010 with a full slate of training courses and security services.
